Griffith Methodist Dayschool is licensed by the State of Nevada and has served the community since 1962. Griffith provides a nurturing learning environment for children six weeks through six years. A low teacher/student ratio is maintained.
There is a well-established before-and-after-school program for older children, as well as an exciting Summer Camp Program from June through August for children five years through twelve years old.
Transportation is available to and from several local schools. Our mini-school bus is fully equipped with standard safety equipment.
Children’s Chapel is held every week as part of the regular learning experience. Chapel is designed to enhance the children’s understanding of Christian concepts of love and respect, presented in a non-denominational, age-appropriate manner.
As part of the weekly curriculum, the children also receive beginning music instruction and exercise and movement classes.
The 3 and 4-year-old classrooms are involved in the High Scope Assessment program in partnership with United Way of Southern Nevada
Milk is provided at snack and lunchtime, free of charge under a USDA Special Milk Program grant administered by the Nevada Department of Education – Office of Child Nutrition and School Health. Nutritious snacks are served twice daily, free of charge.
A hot pizza + side dish is available every Friday for $4.50. Lunches brought from home can be heated.
Safety and security policies are observed in our facility and all staff members are CPR certified.
Reasonable accommodations will be extended to children with special needs unless such accommodations impose an undue financial hardship on, or fundamentally alter, the program.
